Weekly Update 18.05.2020

Good afternoon Year four!

I hope you have all had a good week! I have spent my week learning Spanish, playing the piano and cooking - I am hoping to achieve Chef Healy status haha

It was lovely to receive an email from Charlie this week! We sent each other pictures of drawings we had done, if more of you emailed I would be able to talk to you too and see anything you have done at home that you would like to share!

I would like to also say how amazing it was to see that amazing video so many of you put together! It made myself and many other teachers emotional at seeing your happy faces and reading your lovely messages! Thank you all very much for putting in the time and effort to do that! It meant a lot to so many people!

This week I have got a challenge for you! I am going to write the beginning of a story and leave it on a cliff hanger... It is your job to complete the story and send me the ending... The best ending to the story will be the winner and I will announce the winner on here in a weeks time!

Remember to send me your ending to my email        class.four@melbury.nottingham.sch.uk

The door

Thud. Thud. Thud. My heart was pumping so quickly that it could make its own song with the continuous rhythm. Thud. Thud. Thud. Looking nervously at the emerald green painted wooden door in front of me, I took a deep breath. The brass door handle looks at me, daring me to open it. A memory of my sister comes flooding back to me,

"Whatever you do, no matter what, do not open the green door!" She warned me, her eyes alive with worry and concern. But now, standing this close to it, standing this close to reveal what is behind the door, my curiosity is almost unbearable! What is behind the door? Could it be something dangerous? A creature? Maybe a place filled to the brim with hidden treasure! Or a monster just waiting to escape! Whatever it is, I have to know...

Slowly... Carefully... Silently... My hand encloses around the handle, and taking a deep shaky breath I pull the door open.

Good luck,

Miss Healy :)
