Good morning everyone, the sun is shining today - what a treat. I hope you are all keeping happy and healthy. I've had some wonderful emails this week, it is so great to see what you have been doing and to hear from you. Keep sending your emails to firstname.lastname@example.org - they are the highlight of my week.
Today I have to give a special shout out to our very own Leslie! He entered the competition set by the fire station and was selected as a winner. Leslie will have his safety message and art work printed on the side of a van! I hope you'll all join me in saying a very big well done to him!
This week I'd like to set you some speaking and listening activities. This might seem a little odd but I noticed that in my house although we talk all the time we don't often talk about how we are feeling or thinking. So this week I'd like you to pretend you are a news presenter, think of or write down some questions you'd like to ask people in your house and ask them. You could maybe write down the answers too. You cIould ask people about their favourite food or drink, colour, game, thing that makes them happy. You could even try to record this in a pictogram ( I'll pop - yes I said pop Ryan! some pictures of pictograms below to give you some ideas).
I'll add the maths challenge as always.
Keep checking out the daily phonics lessons.
I've added some more stories to our Melbury YouTube over the weekend and have added a special edit. You get to look at the pictures in the book but hear me reading it. I know how much you lovely lot enjoy looking at the pictures - you usually all end up sitting on my feet at story time! I'm missing that a lot! https://youtu.be/fXDswzZucl0
Something a little different this week, Nottingham Forest have sent over a joy of moving at home pack and have asked us to share it with you. They have lots of great ideas, and have said you can tag yourselves on social media using the hashtag #JOMHomeFestival and tagging @NFFC_Community. We have said that we will take part on Thursday afternoon. Let me know how you get on with this and what you really enjoy. I've had the idea of a digital sports day whirling around in my head for a few weeks so it would be great to know how you find this and give me some ideas.
Keep being fabulous,
Missing you all times 9, 000 000 - bonus question, what's that number?
