Good Morning Rainbows and Sunshines
How are you all today? I hope you are feeling bright and breezy for the new week. Wasn't yesterday windy and a bit chilly? I was watching the trees branches swaying and the clouds moving quickly across the sky. Make sure you take time to look up at the sky to see what's happening. We aren't seeing many aeroplanes just now but there are lots of birds to spot. I saw a long tailed tit on one of the bushes in my garden yesterday.
This week I am going to do lots of reading to help me with my teaching. Even grown ups keep learning you know. I wonder what you have been reading or which books you have been sharing, I would love to know. I am going to record another story this week and I have a choice of three books: She'll be coming round the mountain, Handa's Surprise or Bear. Why don't you let me know which one you'd like by getting a grown up to email me your choice on our class email firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll read the most popular!
I am putting some number activities into the Sunshine and Rainbow learning folders so have a go at those and Sunshines don't forget the daily phonics lessons; they are really good.
It is lovely to know that from Wednesday we'll all be able to go outside for exercise more than once a day. Are you going to the park? Which one do you like best?
Did you have any celebrations for VE day on Friday? My street had garden picnics and I made lots of scones with jam and cream. Delicious. Have you been baking at all? I'd love to see some pictures if you have.
Take care everyone; keep enjoying your family time, keep enjoying nature, keep using your senses to see, hear, smell taste and touch lovely things, keep sharing books and reading, keep being curious and keep being kind.
Big hugs and love from
Mrs D, Mrs Roome, Mrs Fewkes and Mrs Lees.
