Week 6

Good Morning and welcome to the new week Sunshines and Rainbows,

I hope you are all doing well and keeping busy and happy. I have been chatting to Mrs Roome and she sends her love and wants you all to keep on reading and sharing your books. I am still doing Joe Wicks' PE lesson each morning, are you too? It was hard work today.

I have popped some home learning ideas in the Sunshine and Rainbow folders and they cover all our areas of learning because we are developing so many skills as we grow. Pick out ideas you'd like to explore.

My challenge this week is to put a Storytime on video so I can share a book with you. Watch this space for a link.

My Challenge to you this week is to explore your number skills:

Rainbows - can you make lots of collections of groups of 3, 4, 5 or more ? Check by counting and see what different ways you can arrange them . For example 4 toy cars in a line or in two groups of 2 or 3 and 1. See what you can discover about the numbers.

Sunshines - can you make bigger collections of objects  groups of 5, 6,7,8,9,10 and then into your teen numbers!  You can label them with the number cards from your first home learning pack. How can you organise the group? For example 7 toys ; in a line, as 6 and 1, 5 and 2 and other ways . You can create your number sentences ( sums) from here . So 5+2=7. What can you discover? Remember you can show me your learning by contacting me at admin@melbury.nottingham.sch.uk. I would love to hear from you.

Take care everyone. Keep shaking you sillies, jogging your jitters and clapping your crazies out. A kitchen disco is a lot of fun. My teenagers are making me groove each day. Oh dear!

Lots of love to you all,

Mrs D, Mrs Roome, Mrs Fewkes and Mrs Lees smileysmileysmileysmiley
