Spring Term

This term we have been designing and building a propelled boat.

Firstly we looked at which shapes moved through the water better and what materials floated or sunk in water. Afterwards we all had a go at sawing our wood to make our boat chassis and connecting our propellers using an elastic band. We then let them go in our water tray - they moved brilliantly! We did find out though that we had to wind the propeller the right way or the boat went backwards!

Autumn Term

During our Great Fire of London project we created some awesome fire art, using cling film, PVA glue and tissue paper.

We have also made some Great Fire of London bottle art, where the light shining through the tissue paper looks like the light of the flames, as well as collages and clay relief Tudor houses.
