O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?

Today we did some follow up dramatic work to the Shakespeare performance we enjoyed last week - Romeo and Juliet!
We all sat in a circle and took it in turns to perform the play as we went around the circle and we each came up for a turn as a Shakesperean thespian! We played every character in turn (regardless of boy/girl) and also became stage objects in a shortened version of the play. Mr Edwards read out the speech which was then repeated by the pupil actor representing that character. At the end of the story, we gave each other a big round of applause! The Bard would be proud!

 

After our class performance we split into groups of 5 and were given the task is to choose our favourite scene from the play and pose together as a freeze frame. A popular choice for the most important moment were the dramatic fight scenes... as you can see!
