Welcome back everyone. We hope that you have all had a wonderful break with lots of family time. The children have come back bouncy and ready for learning.
Thank you to you all for the time you are taking to share books with your children. We are certainly seeing the children using their phoneme knowledge and blending skills to read. Children really benefit from regular practise and support.
Please look out for your child's reading day on our information board and make sure that their book bag is in that day. If your child brings in their book each day if there is any free time or extra helpers we may be able to squeeze in extra reading.
After our Learning to Read Parents Workshop early in the school year we would like to invite parents back into school to find out about Learning to Use Number.
Don't worry if Maths has not been your thing - we'd like to show you how we approach it and how your children learn and what gives them the best foundation. We promise to make it fun. Watch the board for a date. .
Please don't forget that we are here to help and if you have any questions, queries or concerns please do pop in to talk to a member of our team.
Starting to Read workshops
Booklets of the talk are available from F2 - we are always here to chat about reading if you need us.
SUNSHINE CLASS AUTUMN 2017
Welcome back everyone. We have had a wonderful start to our new term and our 'Sunshine' children have settled really well. This term we are getting to know our friends and learn about our families. The children are letting us know all their interests and we have enjoyed lots of outside learning as well as in.
it was lovely to see so many parents at our 'Starting to read' meeting and we enjoyed sharing books together.
For your information:
PE is currently on FRIDAYS.
Please put your child's book bag in the box near the coat pegs each morning. Reading day is usually Wednesday but we try to sneak in other chances to read together throughout the week.
We really appreciate your support and if you need our support with your child's learning or have questions or worries please do let us know.
