City League

Match 1: Melbury 3 v 3 Rosslyn Park - Two very evenly matched teams played out a draw in an enjoyable, good spirited match.

Match 2: Middleton 8 v 0 Melbury - A more experienced Middleton team proved too strong for a resilient and spirited Melbury. Our never give up attitude was great to see.

Match 3: Southwold 3 v 0 Melbury - A tight game in which Southwold took all three points. A bit of erratic finishing meant we finished with no goals but we are improving each game, working well as a team and creating chances.

Match 4: Robert Shaw 2 v 2 Melbury - A well fought game ended in a 2-2 draw. Melbury took a 2-0 lead, with Robert Shaw pulling one back just before half time. Melbury were slightly clinging on in the second half and a last minute goal saw the game end 2-2.

Match 5: Glenbrook 4 v 1 Melbury - Another closely fought game, in which Melbury took an early lead. A second half surge from Glenbrook saw them equalise, before taking the lead soon after. With Melbury pushing for an equaliser, Glenbrook took full advantage of the gaps at the back, bagging themselves a two more goals in the final minutes.

Match 6: Melbury 0 v 5 Middleton: In a much more even match than the first time we met, Melbury put in a strong performance but sadly still came out on the losing side. Mr Thompson and Mr Wild were both really proud of the attitude and sportsmanship of all the players; you all did Melbury proud.

Match 7: Melbury 0 v 5 Whitemoor: A tight first half saw Whitemoor take a 0-2 lead into the break. As the match progresses, Melbury faded away and conceded three more goals. An excellent match, played with in the right spirit.
