Allotment

We visited our school allotment to see what had grown over the Summer. We picked lots of apples, runner beans, potatoes, blueberries and 3 large pumpkins. We gave all of the food to the cooks and they prepared it as part of our school dinner. Except for the pumpkins which we are keeping for Halloween!

In our outdoor learning this week we had to look at the reading hut and draw a new design for it. We decided to link it to our Literacy work on Hansel and Gretel and designed cottages made out of gingerbread and sweets. We then had to label our pictures.

We began making lollipops for our gingerbread house. We used paper mache which was very sticky.

This week we used natural resources around our allotment area to make things to decorate the gingerbread house from the story Hansel and Gretel.
